How do you deal with saints’ opinions on how we should raise our children?
[#22 Q2] How do you deal with saints’ opinions on how we should raise our children? Especially when they come from the book, “Raising Up the Next Generation for the Church Life.” It seems like the saints feel more free to voice their opinions if they can back them up using the ministry. However, in my experience, it is no less harmful or hurtful. It seems like the fellowship in the book and the fellowship given during all the parents conferences based on the book is becoming a standard by which we measure our own families and other saints’ families. Is that healthy?
It is important to point out that these brothers do not presume to have the answers to our questions. Rather, they are willing to provide a response in fellowship, and to encourage us to personally go to the Lord and consider all these things before Him.
