TRAVEL
Coming from Outside the UK
The nearest airport to Cefn Lea is Birmingham Airport. Once you arrive, you can take an Air-Rail to Birmingham International train station, which is across from the airport, and take a direct train from there to Newtown, where the shuttle service to Cefn Lea will be operating.
You can also fly into Manchester or Cardiff. Both have train services that can get you to Newtown with one change.
You can also fly into any of the London airports, but then you will need to transfer to either Milton Keynes (London Luton), Reading (Heathrow and Gatwick), or London Euston (Stansted and London City) to get a train, which will get you to Newtown, usually via Birmingham or Wolverhampton. This will involve multiple transfers.
All train tickets can be easily booked via Trainline, an app commonly used here in the UK for train travel.
Train Journey Times to Newtown
The train from Birmingham International is approximately 2 hours (direct). The trains from Manchester and Cardiff are generally under 3 hours (one transfer), and all the trains from London are generally over 5 hours (with multiple transfers).
Coming from within the UK
We recommend you either drive or take the train if you are coming from any other part of the UK.
Coach from London
If you are traveling from London, there is a coach that will be going to Cefn Lea.
More information and the link to register and pay (£40 round-trip) can be found here: eu.jotform.com/222663985883372.
The registration deadline for the coach is Sunday, 30 October.
Shuttles
We recommend you try to time your arrival to Newtown sometime between 4 and 6:30pm on Friday, 18 November.
If you want to come early to help with setup, please email us at events@unistudents.eu so we can work out an earlier shuttle for you.
If you are arriving before or after the time window mentioned above, we won’t leave you stranded, but please contact us at events@unistudents.eu so we can ensure you will have a shuttle.
There will also be shuttles back to Newtown at the conclusion of the conference. We recommend that you book all your train departures after 1:00 PM on Sunday, 20 November. A sign-up sheet for shuttle departures will be made available during the conference. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at events@unistudents.eu.
“But without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to Him, for he who comes forward to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
