“The focus of the book of Galatians is Christ. Some expositors strongly assert that the subject of Galatians is justification by faith. However, if we carefully study this book with a view of life, we will see that it speaks mainly of Christ: Christ being revealed in us (1:16), living in us (2:20), being put on us (3:27), and being formed in us (4:19), as well as Christ being the grace that we receive (5:4) and making us a new creation (6:15). Galatians speaks of the riches of Christ in a very appropriate, concise, and thorough way.”

(CWWL, 1955, “A Bird’s-eye View of Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians,” p. 420)

Conference Venue

This year the conference will be in Conisbrough (near Doncaster, South Yorkshire) at a conference centre called Kingswood – Dearne Valley

“But when it pleased God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me…”

-Galatians 1:15-16a

TRAVEL

By Train

Conisbrough has a train station, which is one stop from Doncaster Train Station (a stop on the LNER line from Kings Cross).  The Conisbrough train station has an exit that leads directly to the venue, so you can easily walk from the station to the conference venue: Kingswood – Dearne Valley.

Coming from Outside the UK

The nearest airports to Dearne Valley are Leeds-Bradford (LBA) or Manchester (MAN).  You can take a train from Manchester Airport to Conisbrough and a bus and train from Leeds-Bradford Airport to Conisbrough.  Some Christian families in the Leeds area have volunteered to host those who might be coming from overseas and need a place to stay before or after the conference.  If you meet these criteria, feel free to email churchinleeds@gmail.com to see if there are any spots still available.

All train tickets can be easily booked via Trainline, an app commonly used here in the UK for train travel.

If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at events@unistudents.eu.

“…and the life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”
