How can I meet the standard in the Bible and ministry in light of a history of failures?
[#2 Q4] Matthew 5:48 says, “You shall be perfect as Your heavenly Father is perfect.” Other passages in the Bible and in the ministry also have imperatives. In light of my history of failures, even though I want to do it and decide to do it, I can’t do it. I don’t know how I can meet the standard.
It is important to point out that these brothers do not presume to have the answers to our questions. Rather, they are willing to provide a response in fellowship, and to encourage us to personally go to the Lord and consider all these things before Him.
