Do you have any fellowship for a sister who is moving away from a locality she migrated to in pursuit of a job?

[#19 Q3] I have really been struggling with this matter of migration vs moving. I am from a small locality that my husband and I migrated to before we had children to serve full-time. Having more saints move here and gaining new ones is quite the challenge. We live in a rural area where there are not many job opportunities so the people we do gain for the church life end up leaving due to job/employment issues. The environment is forcing this move on us. My heart is broken that we have to leave. I feel like we are abandoning the saints. Moving to a city for a job in order to take care of our practical needs seems so self-centered and even the opposite to migrating for the Lord’s move to me. Any experiences/fellowship/clarification and/or encouragement for a sister who is leaving behind her church family and her children’s companions in pursuit of a job?

In Question and Response (Q&R) sessions, a group of invited panelists respond to questions submitted by students and young adults during the week. The panelists are generally older and more experienced brothers in the Lord who have the burden to respond to our questions by sharing both the truth from the Bible and their experiences in life.

It is important to point out that these brothers do not presume to have the answers to our questions. Rather, they are willing to provide a response in fellowship, and to encourage us to personally go to the Lord and consider all these things before Him.

“That which we have seen and heard we report also to you that you also may have fellowship with us, and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.”
