autumn university conference

19- 21 November 2021 - United Kingdom

Travel Information

Coming from outside of the UK

We recommend flying into the Birmingham, Manchester, or Liverpool airports and then taking a train to either Chirk or Gobowen as the most straightforward route to Quinta Hall if you are coming from the EU. There will be shuttles running from Chirk and Gobowen to the conference venue.

Entry Requirements

For those who are fully vaccinated, travel to the UK is now fairly straightforward. You can find all the relevant travel requirements on this UK government website: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-to-england-from-another-country-during-coronavirus-covid-19

If you are traveling from the EU and are fully vaccinated, you will need to fill out a passenger locator form and book a Day 2 lateral flow test. You need to book the test before filling out your passenger locator form because the form asks you for a test reference number, which will be provided to you once you book your Day 2 test.

It will be the easiest if you book this test at the airport you are flying into and schedule to take the test as soon as you arrive. The relevant pages for booking that test for those flying into Manchester, Birmingham, or Liverpool can be found here:

Shuttles

Once you arrive at the airport, you will want to take a train to either Chirk or Gobowen, where shuttles will run to Quinta Hall, the conference venue.  We recommend you try to time your arrival to Chirk or Gobowen sometime between 4pm and 7pm.  If you are arriving before or after that time, we won’t leave you stranded, but please contact us at events@unistudents.eu so we can ensure you will have a shuttle.

There will also be shuttles running on Sunday, November 21st for anyone who needs to get from Quinta Hall to Chirk or Gobowen for their train. For those of you needing these shuttles, we will collect your departure times at a later date.
