East Coast (Northerners): Day 6 – Lord’s Table meeting in Lexington, first time in trader joe’s, arrive at the NACT

Lord’s day, 16th July

Three of the sisters stayed with a lovely family with a cute dog called Mochi.

It was lovely to hear them talk about the church life in Lexington as we also shared with them what the church life is like in our localities.

Two more sisters stayed in a sisters house. We had lots of fun and laughter.

The brothers dressed very smartly for the Lord’s table and ready for the college training.

The Lord’s table meeting that morning was roughly 60-80 people many of which are visiting from various states and countries outside the region.

Close to 50 of us are departing early to make sure we make it in time to the college training. It was lovely to see familiar faces when we got to the training.

Right after the Lord’s Table meeting we zoomed off to the closest Trader Joe’s to buy some snacks for both the NACT and to bring back with us to the UK.

We had lots of fun buying many snacks and treats for our journey onwards and in the college training. We even got matching Trader Joe’s bags which held all of our snacks.

We discovered a surprisingly good combo. Salted pretzel thins with ube ice cream.

We had a quick food stop for a late lunch before we journeyed on for the last stretch of road before we arrive in Champaign.

A lovely picture of the sisters in the car.

And we have arrived!

A group picture of all of us outside the State Farm centre getting ready to go in to the first meeting.

Post-meeting we were all so tired but the atmosphere was awesome! Can’t wait to see how the rest of the training goes!

“That which we have seen and heard we report also to you that you also may have fellowship with us, and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.”
