California Part 2: Day 15 – Grace Terrace, KBBQ, Target, and home meetings!

Friday, 14th July

On Friday morning we had a few early departures, and one brother who thought he was flying on Friday but actually it was Saturday. Thankfully it wasn’t the other way around!

See you soon in Illinois!

Those of us who remained met at the Santa Ana meeting hall for our morning time, and we finished reading the Epistles of John.

Then we drove to Grace Terrace. At first we didn’t know what it was, but we soon realised it was a precious place!

This is where many of the saints have been buried, and it was designed and built with a lot of significance.

We realised that there were hymns engraved (this is the “meeting place”) and enjoyed singing them together.

Brother Doug met us and shared about the design of Grace Terrace.

He also told us that any kind of memorial here is just a stone. The real memorial is to the Lord.
And everything here points to resurrection and the New Jerusalem!

We were able to find the grave markers for brothers Watchman Nee and Witness Lee,  two servants of the Lord Jesus Christ.

As well as those of brothers who have passed away in recent years.

It was very sobering and an honour to be here!
It was also encouraging to be here together. May the Lord show us and keep us drinking the river of water of life!

Brother Doug also gave us the opportunity to serve by refreshing the paint of the lettering.
Many of us participated. It was good to serve together!

Our next stop was KBBQ.

A handful of us opted out of KBBQ and had Taco Bell or Raising Canes.
And worked on the blog 😉

Once we were reunited with everyone, our next stop was Target!

Finally, our evening ended with home meetings with the saints!

Those of us at the meeting hall were given a really great tour by the children.

It was our last night in SoCal, and most of us had early flights the next day, with departures from Santa Ana at 3 or 4am!

Thank you dear saints for having us. We enjoyed our time with you and the Christ in you so much!

“That which we have seen and heard we report also to you that you also may have fellowship with us, and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.”
