California Part 2: Day 14 – Beach Day!

Thursday, 13th July

It’s already Thursday!

We have been using WhatsApp groups for announcements and to share pictures for this whole trip. There are many groups! This week we are using the “Part 2: SoCal Blending” group.

Sadly it was time to say goodbye to our wonderful Riverside hosts. It was a lot of fun being with them!

We were introduced to really yummy things like Halva Butter!
Back at the Philadelphia Rec Hall and getting our day started the right way, loving the Lord together.

We also continued our reading of 1 John 3 and 4. Thank You Lord that we can abide in You!

One of the brothers also encouraged us to consider – we are seeing a lot of the environment, but we can ask ourselves, what of Christ is being revealed in us?

There was a little crocs party before lunch 😀
The saints at Goodwins Organics treated us to a really yummy and healthy lunch.

Some of us loved it! We don’t always get a lot of vegetables on blending trips.

It was so sweet to spend a little more time with the saints in Riverside.

Then it was time to go! We were driving back towards the coast to meet the saints from Santa Ana at the beach, but first we stopped at a highly recommended bubble tea place. It was good!

The serving ones joined a NACT preparation call and the students bought beach supplies!

The water pistols came in very useful once we got to the beach!
Being at Corona del Mar beach was so nice! We let the waves hit us and we started our water fight! Some of us swam quite a lot. The water was quite buoyant from the salt.

While we were enjoying the water, the saints from Santa Ana were preparing a BBQ for us!

We all came back to the clearing in time to pray and eat.

Some of us were still full of energy!
Then we were treated to the most glorious sunset!

Which of course meant we took lots and lots of pictures.

Thank You Lord, You are the real Sun of Righteousness to us, with healing in Your wings!

It was a really lovely end to the day! (Can you see what we were trying to spell here?)
Finally, it was dark and time to head back to our Santa Ana hospitalities, the same saints we had stayed with at the start of the week.

Thank you saints for taking such good care of us, including providing all the beach towels! We were so cherished 🙂

“That which we have seen and heard we report also to you that you also may have fellowship with us, and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.”
