Part 3: Blending Day 2 – Beautiful Laguna!

We started the day with breakfast with our hospitality. It was yummy!

Although one group did end up at Chick-Fil-A. Very healthy…

We all came together at the church in San Juan Capistrano meeting hall.

After singing a few songs about looking away to the Lord and pursuing Him, brother Ray shared some special fellowship with us related to entering into Christ as our good land and how we need to deal with the inward things that prevent us from entering in.

Psalm 5:1-3

“To my words give ear, O Jehovah;

Consider my moaning.

Give heed to the sound of my cry,

My King and my God;

For to You do I pray.

O Jehovah, in the morning

You will hear my voice;

In the morning I will set forth my words in order to You,

And I will watch.”

We were all given 40 minutes of personal time with the Lord. It was great to be able to spread out both inside and outside the meeting hall to practice speaking to the Lord in an open and honest way about our real situation.

After we came back together, we introduced ourselves (as some of us joined the trip at Part 3). Each person mentioned their name, locality, study and an interesting fact about themselves. For example Leia plays the double bass!

After this we went down to Laguna for lunch and it was beautiful!

The Wahoo’s fish taco’s were great. The portions were huge!

Some didn’t fancy fish so went to Gina’s pizza and Bonzai bowl.

After the lunch options, we all went to Active Culture and some of us tried the frozen yoghurt. It is also an art gallery!

We went for a small hike to “Top of the World”!

From here we could see the views of Laguna Beach, Irvine and the Saddleback Mountains. It was such a contrast to the city!

After that, we went back down and spent some time at Heisler Park. Some of us rested on the grass and others walked along the lovely coast.

We decided to put off Trader Joe’s for another day, and instead headed back to the meeting hall in San Juan Capistrano. But first we took another group picture!

At the San Juan Capistrano meeting hall, those who still had energy went to play some ultimate Frisbee with the local saints.

Meanwhile the saints in San Juan Capistrano prepared a wonderful love feast for us, and we got to meet lots of new saints.

After this we had a singing and overflow time.

Some local saints with young children had to leave earlier, but forty two saints attended the overflow and nineteen of us shared our enjoyment from the Semiannual Training! It was so wonderful to hear the portion of the saints!

Thank You Lord for our blending with the church in San Juan Capistrano!
