Part 2: Semiannual Training Day 3 – blending on the buses!

One of the big highlights of the training was journeying between the training centre and our accommodation. Those of us housed in Grace Gardens would take a twenty minute shuttle bus to the MCC at various moments of the day. During this time we were able to enjoy the Lord in singing, prayer, and fellowship. It was a real blessing to be blended with saints from many countries in this way and to practice together to uplift the atmosphere of the training.

On one of the bus trips, we enjoyed the song:

Therefore with joy shall ye draw water
Out of the wells of salvation.
And in that day shall ye say,
  Praise the Lord!

Message Five
The Water for Impurity

Our Enjoyment:

The water for impurity is specifically for the cleansing of the defilement of death that is the result of rebellion against God. Common sins can be cleansed by the blood of Christ as the trespass offering. However, the trespass offering isn’t enough to cleanse death. To be cleansed from death isn’t immediate; it takes time. The water for impurity is an offering which is Christ typified by the red heifer. It is not mainly for forgiveness but for cleansing; it is not offered for sinners but specifically for God’s people; it is not an offering for sins but for death. The Lord has also made provisions for all our future uncleanness and future sins! Praise the Lord we can take Him as the reality of the red heifer and the water for impurity!

Message Six
Christ as Typified by the Bronze Serpent

Our Enjoyment: Through Christ’s all-inclusive death on the cross, the Lord dealt with all the negative things of the universe including sin, the world, Satan, and the flesh. All we have to do is declare and stay with the facts of the finished work of Calvary. No matter what are our feelings may be, by faith we can appropriate all that Christ has done.
