Day 14 – Farewell and thank you! (with VIDEO)

Today was the final day of our trip. We departed from Ter Aar, Utrecht and Delft, and drove to Brussels, and from there caught the Eurostar back to London. (Well most of us did anyway.)

Farewell at Brussels Train Station. “Miss you already!! Safe journey back home!!”

Some of us stayed longer in Brussels.

Some of us made it to Prague.

And some of us all the way to Warsaw.

Even those who returned to London continued the blending – waiting for trains/coaches back to our localities.

Yay! We had more time blending because we missed the coach..! (Although we made it back to Cardiff earlier than the brother who caught the coach on time.)

We are so, so thankful to all the serving ones who drove us from one place to another and patiently waited for us –  otherwise we don’t know how many buses and trains we would have missed on the trip!

And speaking of “thank yous”…

We are now able to reveal our surprise gifts for our awesome serving ones!

Planning started back in Düsseldorf… if questioned, the brothers were going to say something about being silly and fighting with sticks!

We went as far as buying string and a hacksaw!

And we also wrote a song! This picture was accidentally sent on the regular WhatsApp group instead of our Super Secret YP Group” and resulted in a flurry of repeated and random pictures being posted so it would not be noticed by the serving ones. It seems we were successful: “They were very discrete or we are blind :D”

This was actually our first time singing it together. The words come from two points we enjoyed on this trip, both from our ministry reading and in our experience with the saints.

  1. Through fellowship with the Lord we can behold and reflect Him (2 Corinthians 3:18).
  2. We have to allow Christ to make His home in our hearts today (Ephesians 3:17). The saints we visited had such open homes for all of us.

Here are the instructions we received over WhatsApp, so you can sing along too!

Sing this through once:

Fellowship involves spending time with the Lord
Beholding and reflecting the glory of the Lord
That Christ may make His home in our hearts, Ephesians 3:17
That Christ may make His home in our hearts, Ephesians 3:17

Sing this next:

First part:

  1. [Brothers] Fellowship involves spending time with the Lord
  2. [Brothers] Fellowship involves spending time with the Lord
[Sisters] Beholding and reflecting the glory of the Lord
  3. [Brothers] Fellowship involves spending time with the Lord
[Sisters] Beholding and reflecting the glory of the Lord
  4. [Brothers] Fellowship involves spending time with the Lord
[Sisters] Beholding and reflecting the glory of the Lord

Second part:

  1. [Sisters] That Christ may make His home in our hearts, Ephesians 3:17 (low)
  2. [Brothers] That Christ may make His home in our hearts, Ephesians 3:17 (low)
[Sisters] That Christ may make His home in our hearts, Ephesians 3:17 (high)
  3. [Brothers] That Christ may make His home in our hearts (high), Ephesians 3:17 (low)
[Sisters] That Christ may make His home in our hearts (high), Ephesians 3:17 (high)

We thank the Lord for such a wonderful two weeks blending with the saints! We are very grateful for all the saints who hosted us along the way, for the serving ones who coordinated the trip (both those who joined us on the trip and those who didn’t), and for all of you who followed us on this website and remembered us before the Lord in prayer.

May all our experiences of Christ be for the building up of His Body, the church!

But this won’t be the last post related to the blending trip… we’ll be back soon with our TOP enjoyment and overflow from the past two weeks!

“That which we have seen and heard we report also to you that you also may have fellowship with us, and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.”
