This is an overflow of our TOP enjoyment from the blending trip. Each of us also chose a favourite picture to share with you, some you have seen before, some you haven’t!
Before coming to the blending trip, I was in a situation that I was discouraged with my PhD studies. I prayed to the Lord that may this trip be a mutual encouragement, and that my study and living can be meaningful for His move in Europe. Throughout this trip, I’ve talked to different local saints and realised that they all have their difficulties following the Lord, but the Lord is faithful to take care of them with His abundant grace and supply. At the same time, with the help of this ministry, they have the vision of the Lord’s move on earth and are willing to be preserved in the Body-life and press on.
The picture is three young people practicing guitar with a brother in Ter Aar, the Netherlands. They said they wanted to prepare themselves for Poland Camp so they’ve been practicing guitar together for almost half a year. We’re just like these three brothers having one goal and willing to be companions running the race together. Some are stronger and some are weak, but it doesn’t really matter as long as we can reach the same goal together in the end.
It was truly a privilege to be on this European Blending Trip! Each day went greater and greater. While we were going from city to city, being welcomed by the saints, I had this deep realisation of being part of the same family.
During the trip, we somewhat lived the normal church life by attending the prayer meetings, the home meetings and the Lord’s Day table meetings. The flavour of Christ was obvious when we were around the saints, in their homes. Listening to their testimonies impressed me the most. To see those saints giving themselves completely to the Lord, fellowshipping with Him to receive the light, then following His leading in much fellowship with the saints, reminded me how much the normal Christian life is related to our personal relationship with the Lord day by day. Allowing Him to shine on us so that He makes us the same as He is.
And confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness!
“Those who know God will be strong to expand their horizons, extend their boundaries and break new ground for God.”
Crucial Truths in the Holy Scriptures, Vol. 4, Chap. 1
by Witness Lee, c.f. Daniel 11:32
The initial burden to join the Students European Blending Trip was to be involved practically in the gospel work in Germany, and even to experience the reality of what the Lord is doing there after hearing all the reports and testimonies from the saints in my locality. My biggest impressions of the Lord’s move in Europe throughout the trip was that He is the Head of the Body, and the truth regarding the universal one new man has become a reality to me.
In Stuttgart and Frankfurt, we attended the prayer meetings with local saints and even had the privilege to be with those freshly migrated from other places to Germany. All the prayers we have been praying in the UK (and other parts of the world) have been answered by the Lord in Germany, i.e. families migrating and smooth transitions, and gospel friends being saved and entering into the church life. It really impressed me how much the Lord needs our cooperation in prayer, in going, and in giving for the accomplishment of His heart’s intent towards the church.
On the one hand, our God is actively moving to prepare His church, the Bride; on the other hand, we simply need to be someone who abides in the vine and remains in the fellowship with Him. If we are someone who means business with the Lord, we will be willing to pay the price. And the way to pay the price is to have constant, day to day fellowship with Him. Without spending time to fellowship with the Lord, all our outward activities would not have any relation to the building of His Body. Only by practicing this way, we can be so useful to the Lord. Hallelujah for such a wonderful church life that bring us right into the centre of His economy!
1 Corinthians 12:13 says, “For also in one Spirit we were all baptised into one Body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and were all given to drink one Spirit.”
During this trip my top enjoyment was from the book, “Fellowshipping with the Lord for the Mingling of God with Man”. This blending trip provided me a lot of opportunities to fellowship with God. There was no pressure from school and I had a lot of time in the meetings, on the road, in the hotel room, or even just walking around the cities. The Lord had the opportunity to shine on me, to shine on my peculiarities through my fellowship with Him. I realised that I cannot be built up with others, my self is a barrier which hinders the fellowship, and the Body could sense it. Then I could only turn to the Lord and inquire of Him, “Lord, how do I talk to this brother or this sister?” and, “Lord, how should I behave and act amongst the saints?” There is such a release when I no longer have to live according to my self but I can look to Him.
After this I started to realise the need of fellowship, that there cannot be the building up without each one fellowshipping with the Lord. We did not come together because we got along but because of Christ. And now together on this blending trip we are not trying to compromise with each other or trying to bear one another’s “imperfections”. But we really need the fellowship with the Lord, more Christ added into us, allowing His mind, emotion and will to be our mind, emotion and will. “Lord, what is Your thought and feeling toward that brother or sister?” (This reminded me of the type in the tabernacle. The wooden boards of the tabernacle are overlaid with gold, and it is the golden parts that join the boards together.)
The fellowship with the Lord applied to every aspect of this blending trip. The situation in each locality was different. I needed the fellowship with the Lord to inquire His feelings, His thoughts and His will for that locality; otherwise, I wouldn’t know how to pray. In going out to talk to the local students, giving out free Bibles, fellowshipping with other believers, or even just eating in the restaurants, I needed to be living in the constant fellowship with God. I enjoyed that if we are in constant fellowship with God, then when others touch us, they can touch God.
It has been truly a privilege to be on this blending trip! These two weeks of memories will be treasured and cherished. The top enjoyment during this trip for me was blending with the saints both from our team and from the cities we visited. It was so amazing to see so many different people with different backgrounds, different personalities and different languages, pursuing the same thing together. The Lord is truly all-inclusive and we are truly one in Him.
By listening to their testimonies, fellowshipping with the saints and singing together, I have gained more Christ and the feeling of We Are One Body has become stronger and clearer in me. Even if we are so different from the outside, we are all the same inside. The Lord has been working on each one of us through different ways but eventually leading all of us to the same place. How wonderful it is! And how marvelous He is!
Praise the Lord for all the work He has done and is doing and will do in us. May we grow in Him constantly and eventually become all the same as His counterpart to express and represent Him.
It was a wonderful time to be with the saints to love the Lord on the trip! It was so enjoyable to blend with the saints from our team but also the saints in different localities. The Lord shows me a clear vision about the one Body in Christ. Some of us speak different languages in different localities, but we speak the same words of Christ. There is no language barrier in Christ, we have the same enjoyment of Jesus Christ!
By listening to the testimonies of the saints and refugees, I felt that our Lord is the reality of our life. He is life in us! Only He can live in us!
My top enjoyment was we can enjoy the Lord in an unlimited way, by praying, singing, praising, calling on the name of the Lord everywhere and every moment with the saints. Praise the Lord! We can experience Him in our daily living. He is our reality and enjoyment!
This was the best trip ever. These two weeks I really enjoyed blending with the saints from different localities. The saints are so nice to us and the serving ones took care of us during the whole trip, I really appreciate it. From this trip, we had more time to fellowship and spend time with the Lord and it was so enjoyable.
I really enjoyed the testimonies from the saints of how much difficulty they faced when they moved to Europe. The God is a faithful God. He leads and opens the way to them, He arranged everything for them. Praise the Lord!! The Lord is truly all-inclusive and we are truly one in Him.
Thank the Lord for the blending trip which gave me a chance to meet those lovely and awesome (crazy) saints. I enjoyed that enjoying Christ with the Body is the way to enrich our full enjoyment of Him! Even just two or three of us gathered together to call upon His name or sing a song, the enjoyment was brought to a new and higher level.
I also enjoyed the sharing time. Sharing is caring. I was always encouraged by the saints’ testimonies. There was always life flowing during the sharing time. May Lord gain more His testimonies in order to express and represent Him on the earth.
After I knew there was such an European Blending Trip, I wanted to join as I love outings with saints and even going to European countries which I have never been before. However, I was reminded that the goal of every work is to build up His house!
Before this trip, I had read or heard about the Lord’s move in Europe but it was kind of abstract for me. Through this blending trip, it was at least “a step closer” to see the Lord’s moving in Europe. Many crazy lovers of Christ moved to Europe just for the Lord. They are stepping stones for the Lord’s move in Europe! I also want to be like them! During a fellowship with one of the families, a brother said that we can consecrate ourselves daily.
Moreover, I enjoyed that we are able to come together to sing hymns, pray, and even to have fellowship although we use different languages. I really feel joyful that we are in a flow! I never have such experience in my home country where different nationalities, cultures, languages, races meet together in a meeting! Hallelujah for His universal Body.
I also do appreciate the open homes for hospitality. After experiencing a lonely and irregular church life (I needed travel around four hours on the bus to another city for church meetings) for nine months, I have the feeling of more appreciation and gratefulness for the saints. I do really love and appreciate them!
This trip makes it really hard to say goodbye as it is really wonderful and enjoyable. Hallelujah for such a trip, which supplied me outwardly and inwardly. I believed that there are many prayers by the saints. I do really feel thankful to the Lord for the saints.
Whilst in Utrecht we had the opportunity to participate in Bible distribution with the local saints and I was reminded that actually these two weeks were not a holiday away but that I was there to participate in the Lord’s move in Europe. Although I was faced with a language barrier whilst trying to preach the gospel, it was so enjoyable to see the reactions of the Bible recipients. The joy on their faces as they received the Lord. We also received an update for one of the recipients and heard they went to the prayer meeting the next day! Hallelujah!
Praise the Lord for His move in Europe. This blending trip I was really touched with the importance of having a human spirit and turning to it. In our corporate pursuit together we were reading “Fellowshipping with the Lord for Mingling of God with Man” and I so appreciate that God wants to add His divine nature to our human nature. Prior to reading this I had thought very differently concerning the matter of being mingled with God, but this trip revealed this matter to me in a simpler way. God wants to be added to man and for this reason it is impossible for man to live without God. Therefore my prayer now is, Lord continue to add Yourself to my being!
